Pandemics. Disasters. Chaos. Fear. Are these the Dark Ages all over again? This sense of the medieval permeates ‘The Measure’, which also incorporates the dark sounds of a viola da gamba to create a haunting song that reflects on the ebb and flow of light to dark–and back again– ‘the measure’ of all human experience.
